Measurements are crucial for making perfectly fitting dog clothing! To take measurements correctly, please, see the video below. When placing the Order you will sign that you acknowledge and agree that correct measurements is your responsibility. If you have any questions feel free to contact us.
ATTENTION small dog owners! Our smallest boot size is 2". If your dog has smaller paw there is a chance boots will not stay in place.
You can print out the directions with examples
Measure around the base of the neck (it’s the lowest and thickest part of the neck, a little bit higher than the top of the shoulders)
Wrap the tape around the widest part of the chest (usually it’s just behind the front legs)
3. BACK LENGTH
Find the backbone in the base of the neck and measure from that spot to the base of the tail. DO NOT measure from the collar since each breed wears collar in different locations. It MUST be base of the neck and your dog MUST stand straight (if dog is sitting or lying it will add extra inches and structure of the suit will be compromised)
4. TUMMY LENGTH
Here you might want to put dog’s collar on (as low as possible, the best if it sits on the base of the neck). Measure from the collar along the belly to privates.
5. DISTANCE BETWEEN LEGS
Measure from armpit to armpit passing the skin flop in front of the hind leg.
6. LENGTH OF THE FRONT LEG
Measure from the backbone in the base of the neck along the leg all the way down to the floor.
7. LENGTH OF THE HIND LEG
Dogs is standing straight so that hind legs are perpendicular to the floor. Measure from the backbone between hips along the leg all the way to the floor.
Measure around its widest part (usually it’s where the ears are).
9. PAW (only when ordering shoes)
Put a piece of paper under dog’s front paw and lift its opposite leg, so all the weight goes on the paw you going to measure. Trace as close as possible including claws. Measure the longest and the widest part.
